ACTIVE ASSAILANT RESPONSE TRAINING

MEDICAL RESPONSE TO ACTIVE ASSAILANT INCIDENTS

This informative workshop will be approximately 5 hours in length. We will be discussing medical concerns related to active shooter incidents. This will be an informal, but professional block of instruction. Unlike some of our courses, Military, Law Enforcement AND civilian personnel may attend this course.

  Topics include:

  • Initial response and arrival

  • Priorities of work

  • Patient triage

  • Rapid trauma assessment

  • MARCH medial priority list

  • Evacuation concerns

  • Drags, carries and extended care

Attending personnel should plan on classroom instruction with PowerPoint and class discussions, then hands-on learning demonstrations followed by short evaluations. This will be a relaxed learning environment, but still offers a ton of medical guidance in a short amount of time.

 Course date:  Sunday, April 14th

CIVILIAN ACTIVE SHOOTER RESPONSE TRAINING

  • Facility Response Training

Designed for any business, school, medical facility, place of worship or private entity in search of appropriate training solutions to empower their team members with the knowledge, skills and abilities to survive an encounter with an armed attacker. As recent studies show, the threat of an armed assailant has become more prevalent as the annual number of active assailant incidents has increased each year.

We offer a multi-phase training syllabus that would encompass a 90- minute active assailant lecture. This addresses the history of active assailants, shocking statistics, RUN-HIDE-FIGHT and what you expect when police arrive during or after an incident.

We can also facilitate training for trauma and/or emergency medical care for victims injured in mass-shooting incidents.

  • Reality Based Training

CMCT Operational Development Solutions, LLC specializes in reality-based training scenarios. This type of training is crucial as participants will learn how to react under a simulated stressful environment (the same way police and military personnel train their troops). This is called stress-inoculation training. There are a multitude of ways any scenario can be fabricated to end. We recommend a simple, yet realistic approach to scenario-based training. This ensures that the learning points and goals of the overall session are met and people walk away having learned something.

  • Threat Assessment

Many public and private entities chose to have a us do a “facility threat assessment”. This simply means that when the aforementioned training has been completed, our professionals will walk through your facility and identify potential safety and security deficiencies. Concerns such as building construction, interior and exterior lighting, security cameras, casualty collection points, approach routes and evacuation routes are pointed out and potential problems are identified. Upon completion of the facility tour, CMCT Operational Development Solutions, LLC, will develop comprehensive suggestions addressing deficiencies identified. Feedback will be promptly submitted back to your entity.
